The Journal “Modern Studies in German History” (in 1975–2017 it had the title “Questions of German History”) is a Ukrainian interdisciplinary journal dealing with German/Mennonite Diaspora’s history in Ukraine, Russian Empire, Soviet Union and all over the world. The scholarly journal also publishes articles devoted to the history of Germany in the past and present. In order to support the publications of future philosophy doctors and colleagues, who specialize in world history, we offer “World history” section.

Purposes:

  • to facilitate the development of researches on the history and culture of German and other Western diasporas-minorities on the territory of Ukraine, the Russian Empire, the USSR, throughout the world;
  • to be a platform and to make a connection between researchers on this subject;
  • to support debut projects and young researchers;
  • to present researches and authors in various languages (Ukrainian, Russian, German, English, etc.).

Co-operating institutions are: Oles Honchar National Dnipro University (Ukraine), Institute of Culture and History of Germans in North-Easten Europe (Germany).
